Drifting into the Abstract 1 is a mesmerizing work on canvas that recalls the soak-staining technique developed by American Abstractionist Helen Frankenthaler. Using thinned layers of color, a translucency and saturation are achieved across the entirety of the canvas, broken up only by a thin grey line that composes the abstract horizon.
